Wonderful Contemporary Romance!
What a Latin hunk!Esme flees the show in shame and heads home in disgrace. Disgusted with the show's antics, Gavino quits his job and takes off for Colorado to find the brokenhearted woman that had captivated him. He knows she will not welcome him with open arms for as far as she is concerned, he was in the enemy's camp. Yet he will not give up!
What a Latin hunk! From his long shiny locks to the diamond stud in his ear....to his warm heart, a true hero any heroine would be most fortunate to fall in love with. This wonderful story is what romance is all about.....love taking root, sprouting and growing strong. I hated to see it end!
I adore this book!

AN INCREDIBLE READ
An Emotional Read!
This one is a must!Danny was policeman with a shot at a position of Sergeant. He worked lots of overtime and missed many important family events. In short, Danny was a major work-aholic! And by putting his job first and his family second, he was destroying his marriage. Still, it came as a complete surprise to him when he came home the day after their anniversary (and he had forgotten it again) to find Pilar waiting for him with his suitcases packed! She refused to allow Danny to continue to put work before family any longer. She kicked him out. Finally realizing that he was losing the family he loved more than life, Danny was determined to change his working habits and win his wife back!
***** Oh, I loved this story! The author did an excellent job and I could not put the story away! The characters became so real to me that I could feel their anguish! This one is a must! *****

UnbeatableRange, and Tone has become much better then before. I can finally hit those notes way
above the bar line, Thanks to some of the exercises in this book. Arturo Sandoval is an
amazing trumpet player and this book would benefit any player trying to learn some stuff
fast, and with quality. It includes warm ups, Long tones, flexibility, duets, scales,
accidentals, and reviews for each section. (There is a few more things in the book that I
cannot think of right now). One of the major pluses would be the c.d. it comes with, for
not to strong site readers this will help you out. Over all this is one of the best books I
have come along and is worth a buy.
One of the best books for an Aspiring Trumpet player

A Challenging BookThe postmodern narration in Puppet has made the novella a challenge to the untrained reader. In addition to the fractured narrator, the muliplicity of voices that intermingle, the brutally honest and funny colloquial language that rubs up against official language, the simultaneity of past and present, the history of political oppression of Chicanos by Anglos and by other Chicanos themselves, and the different literary registers that are present in the novel combine to create a cacophony of narration that even Homi Bhabba would be proud of.
...
Is Puppet a mystery? A coming to consciousness novel? A political commentary? A novel of social criticism? The story of a woman coming into her own? About writing and creativity? Indeed it is all of these things and more. That all these aspects are intricately intertwined in the narrative is what challenges the reader, while at the same time yielding itself to multiple interpretations.
...
Puppet is a compelling narrative that will lead you into dark situations, but one that ultimately finds redemption. It is, however, a redemption in which all of us need to take part. This excellent translation, done with the author, may help us arrive there.
worth the trouble

AN ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY BOOK
Excellent history
Gavino feels terrible about what he helped do to Esme and knows that he needs to apologize to her. He quits his job and travels out to Colorado where he tries to make up for what he did. Esme is reluctant to accept his apology, but Gavino just has a way of forcing himself into her life. It would also help if she wasn't so attracted to him. She reluctantly agrees to rent him the studio apartment over her garage as long as they remain friends. Gavino is disappointed that she does not seem interested in him in a romantic way, but he is willing to follow her lead for now. He even offers to help her get a whole new look so that she can wow everyone at the employee dinner where she will run into Vitor for the first time since she was on the show. As they spend more and more time together, Esme and Gavino fall deeper into love, but neither of them is sure how to share their feelings. Several misunderstandings threaten to tear them apart and Esme seems to have lost all faith in Gavino. Can he make her see that she is beautiful just the way she is?
This romance is a classic Cinderella story, but written so beautifully and with such wonderful characters that you don't even care. Esme was a beautiful, caring woman who couldn't understand that physical beauty was nothing compared to who you are inside. She also learned that what other people say about you is not necessarily true and that you need to believe in yourself. Gavino was a gorgeous, sexy man who had a been a real wild child and was now finding that he could make a whole new life with this wonderful woman that he had found. Esme's friends, Lilly and Pilar, and Pilar's children were fun secondary characters (both of whom have a book written about them, by the way). The book was nicely written, with a well-developed plot and lots of hot scenes between the two main characters. Sparks were definitely flying here! A great read - go out and find a copy for your very own!
